DTH lies behind success of Zee channels in Q3
The continuing consumer demand for direct to home (DTH) satellite TV has helped Zee Entertainment Enterprises maintain a strong presence in both India and abroad, despite greater broadcasting competition, according to the company. Dish TV 2Q FY 11- Standalone revenues of 3286 Million, up 27.4% YoY
Highlights 2Q FY11 revenues stood at ` 3286 million, an increase of 27.4% as compared to the corresponding period last fiscal. EBITDA was ` 523 million, up by more than 100% on a YoY basis. WWIL eyes Rs 3.4 bn revenue in FY’11
MUMBAI: Wire and Wireless (India) Ltd is targeting a revenue of Rs 3.4 billion and expects to be Ebitda positive for the full-fiscal, a source close to the company said. Fuelling this over 20 growth will be the MSO’s entry into new markets, a projected rise in carriage revenue and growth in subscription income. Dish TV continues Indian DTH dominance
India’s DTH market leader Dish TV yesterday announced subscribers up 640,000 to 7.5 million for the June quarter, maintaining its dominance of the sector’s 23 million subscriber market. Dish outranks competitors Tata Sky, Reliance Big TV, Sun Direct, Airtel Digital TV and Videocon d2h. The platform’s subscriber growth was 46% up on the previous quarter, when Dish added just 437,000 subscribers. Rise in additions was partially down to the FIFA World Cup, the company said. Dish TV Q1 losses dip to Rs 63.17
DTH service provider Dish TV narrowed its June quarter losses to Rs 63.17 crore from Rs 69.20 crore in the same period last year. Total income of the company increased 23.35 per cent to Rs 304.30 crore for the first quarter of 2010-11 from Rs 246.68 crore for the corresponding period last fiscal, Dish TV said in a statement here today. Dish TV adds 1.8 million subscribers during FY10
Dish TV India Limited, the leading Direct-to-Home service provider in the subcontinent, has reported consolidated revenues of Rs.3 billion for the fourth quarter fiscal ’10. This represents a 46% growth over the corresponding period last fiscal in the Company’s revenues.
