RAM Week 46: Radio City gains in Mumbai
In Mumbai, Radio City has registered a gain of 2.3 percentage points in market share. The Radio Audience Measurement (RAM) data for Week 46 is out. Here is an update on the four RAM markets. Mumbai Radio Mirchi is No. 1 in the city with a market share of 17.6 per cent, registering a gain of 0.2 percentage points over the previous week. Its average market share for the last four weeks stands at 17.3 per cent. Radio city has moved up to the second position, leaving behind Red FM. Reliance Broadcast in talks to buy Radio City: report
Reliance Broadcast Network Ltd, the media services arm of the Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group, is in talks to acquire Radio City from private equity fund India Value Fund Advisors Pvt Ltd, a leading financial newspaper said in a report on Thursday. The fund owns the radio channel through its stake in Music Broadcast Pvt Ltd, the paper said, adding the private equity fund is looking to exit its investment and has approached several potential buyers. “The two companies have been in talks, but nothing has been finalized yet,” the report quoted a person directly involved in the deal as saying.
