Dish TV Q1 FY12 results
NOIDA, India; July 20, 2011 – Dish TV India Limited (Dishtv) (BSE: 532839, NSE: DISHTV) today reported first quarter fiscal 2012 standalone revenues of Rs.4,604 million, representing a 51% growth over the corresponding period last fiscal. The EBITDA for the quarter stood at Rs. 1,122 million, compared to Rs. 322 million in the corresponding quarter last fiscal. EBITDA margin recorded at 24.4 %. DTH firms in talks to share satellite transponder space
NEW DELHI: Direct -to-home television service firms are in talks to share satellite transponder space with each other that will allow them to offer more channels without large investments while also ensuring glitches in their own transponder do not affect their services. Taking a cue from an arrangement between Sun Direct and Big TV struck last year, other DTH companies are looking to replicate the telecom tower sharing model used by communication firms. Dish TV expands channel capacity 50% by acquring additional transponders
NOIDA, India; December 28, 2010 – Dish TV India Limited (Dishtv) (BSE: 532839, NSE: DISHTV) today announced signing up of a long term contract for additional transponders on Asiasat with ‘Antriksh’. With this, the total transmission bandwidth stands increased from 432 MHz to 648MHz. The new transponders are closely located to the current transponders allowing channels beamed from it to be available to existing customers as well.
