DIMAPUR, JUNE 9 (MExN): High definition television viewing is finally here in Nagaland. Dish TV – touted as India’s largest provider of ‘Direct-to-home’ TV channels launched its premiere HD set-box in Dimapur on Wednesday, June 9. Deputy vice president of Dish TV India Limited (East), Anindya Sengupta coming all the way from Kolkata formally launched the high-end product in the presence of the local media at Hotel Tragopan. Dish TV eyes 3 million subscribers in 1 year

Dish TV, the market leader in direct-to-home entertainment service providers, is looking at 10 million subscribers in one year, up from 7 million subscribers now. Anindya Sengupta, deputy vice-president, sales, Dishtv India, said, “This year is full of sports events and we have lined up free offers to gain on new subscribers. Dishtv banks on affordability

India’s largest direct-to-home company Dishtv has re-introduced the set top box free offer on buying content of Rs 1,990, till January 15. The move is significant because by offering lowest entry cost Dishtv has made digital television more affordable. Anindya Sengupta, deputy vice president- sales (East), Dishtv, said, “Affordability is key to the spread of DTH. We are offering the lowest entry cost and largest bouquet of channels.” The offer comes with additional installation charges of Rs 200.
