Dish TV- 4Q FY12 Results
NOIDA, India; May 16, 2012 – Dish TV India Limited (Dishtv) (BSE: 532839, NSE: DISHTV) today reported fourth quarter fiscal 2012 audited standalone revenues of Rs. 5,247 million, recording 21.2% growth over the corresponding period last fiscal. EBITDA of Rs. 1,442 million registered a significant 59.9% increase over the corresponding quarter last fiscal. EBITDA margin for the quarter stood at 27.5%. TDSAT directs ESPN to sign new channel pact with Dish TV
NEW DELHI: Broadcast tribunal TDSAT has directed ESPN to enter into a new a commercial agreement with Dish TV based on RIO that specifies terms for DTH operators to get signals from broadcasters. “The petition of Dish TV is allowed. The parties are directed to enter into an agreement with effect from September 1, 2011 which would be governed by the modified RIO,” said a TDSAT bench headed by its Chairman Justice S B Sinha. Budget 2012: Reduce tax burden on DTH industry, says Dish TV
NEW DELHI: Dish TV said it is looking for positive steps from the government to reduce the heavy taxation on Direct to Home industry as the service providers are paying multiple taxes such as service tax , entertainment tax , license fee and value added tax. The company has urged the government to provide some relief in license fee by reducing it from the current 10% to 6% as earlier recommended by Trai.
