TDSAT directs ESPN to sign new channel pact with Dish TV

NEW DELHI: Broadcast tribunal TDSAT has directed ESPN to enter into a new a commercial agreement with Dish TV based on RIO that specifies terms for DTH operators to get signals from broadcasters. “The petition of Dish TV is allowed. The parties are directed to enter into an agreement with effect from September 1, 2011 which would be governed by the modified RIO,” said a TDSAT bench headed by its Chairman Justice S B Sinha.
