Dish TV eyes 3 million subscribers in 1 year

Dish TV, the market leader in direct-to-home entertainment service providers, is looking at 10 million subscribers in one year, up from 7 million subscribers now.
Anindya Sengupta, deputy vice-president, sales, Dishtv India, said, “This year is full of sports events and we have lined up free offers to gain on new subscribers. We should be able to get 3 million more subscribers by next year to add to our existing 7 million.”
Dishtv has also unveiled a special acquisition offer ‘World Cup Se World Cup Tak’. Sports fans can now avail 12-month gold pack plus set top box for Rs 3,190 and four-month gold pack plus set top for Rs 1690. The company charges additional Rs 200 for installation.
Dishtv is part of one of the biggest media conglomerates, Zee group. Dishtv has on its platform 250 channels and services including 21 audio channels with 7 million subscribers.
Dishtv has a distribution network of about 700 distributors and 48,000 dealers that spans around 6600 towns across the country.
