Big FM ties up with BBC World Service

bigfm_bbcworldAnil Ambani Group’s Big 92.7 FM announced on Wednesday that it has entered into an alliance with BBC World Service. The alliance will take BBC’s entertainment updates across the 32 stations of the network.

The alliance would feature Big BBC Minute, an hourly update of entertainment news. There would also be a weekly entertainment film preview show as well as Big BCC Mulaqat, a celebrity talk show for the weekends.

Mr Neil Curry, Head of Business Development (Asia Pacific), BBC World Service, said, “This takes our position in the market to a new level as BBC World Service programming will be accessible in several Indian States and cities for the first time ever.”

Apart from the major metros, the shows would be aired in Agram Ajmer, Aligarh, Allahabad, Amritsar and other centres.

Mr Tarun Katial – CEO, Big 92.7 FM, said, “This alliance further strengthens our programming concoction offering to listeners. The entertainment capsules from the BBC World Service are credible offerings that we as a brand ensure in our delivery to listeners.”
