I&B nod to community radio station in Mumbai

MUMBAI: The Information and Broadcasting (I&B) Ministry has granted permission to the Union Park Residents Association situated in the Khar-Bandra region for setting up, maintaining and operating a community radio station (CRS) ‘Jago Mumbai’.

The community radio station is expected to be operational within the next three months.

With this, the total number of community radio stations in the country will rise to 57.

The radio station will generate awareness for demo centers, for composting and vermiculture, rainwater harvesting and solar power.

It will also create awareness in keeping the surroundings clean, managing health and sanitation, environment, waste management and conservation of water and electricity.
