I&B nod to community radio station in Dharamshala

MUMBAI: The Information and Broadcasting Ministry has granted permission to the Tibetan Children’s Village School for establishing, maintaining and operating a community radio station (CRS) at Dharamshala Cantt, Himachal Pradesh.

As per the agreement, the CRS is expected to be operational within three months. With this, the number of CRS will increase to 58 in the country.

The Tibetan Children’s Village School at Lower Dharamshala was established in 1984. The CRS will focus on programmes on developmental, agricultural, health, educational, environmental, social welfare and community development issues.
