Level playing field with cable will help direct-to-home industry
Source: The Hindu Business Line Chennai, Oct. 30 Direct-to-home service provider Sun Direct says a level playing field with cable operators will help grow the DTH industry to a healthy level. According to Mr Tony D’Silva, Chief Operating Officer, Sun Direct, there are a lot of procedural disadvantages for DTH players. Airtel launches triple-play game
Source: Business Standard India’s largest private sector telecom player Bharti Airtel has launched a triple-play arcade puzzle game Getris on all three services of Airtel — mobile, Internet and direct to home (DTH). Dish TV hopeful of reducing losses in coming quarters
Source: The Economic Times NEW DELHI: Direct-to-home (DTH) service provider Dish TV on Tuesday said it will continue to reduce its losses in the coming quarters without disclosing a time frame by when it would start making net profit. The company reduced its net loss by two thirds to Rs 56.13 crore during the quarter ended September, over the year ago period, due to reduction in distribution and content costs besides adding new subscribers.
