Radio Point: Mirchi leads in 3 RAM markets in Week 26

The Radio Audience Measurement (RAM) data for Week 26 for Mumbai, New Delhi, Kolkata and Bangalore is out. Radio Mirchi maintains its lead in Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata; while Big FM has overtaken Radio Mirchi to become the numero uno in Bangalore.

Mumbai
In Week 26, Radio Mirchi has a market share of 17.6 per cent in Mumbai. It is followed by Red FM, which has a market share of 15.4 per cent. Big FM is at No. 3, with a market share of 13.5 percent.

AIR FM Gold has jumped up a spot to occupy fourth position with a market share of 13 per cent. Radio City has slipped a spot to No. 5 with a market share of 11.8 per cent. Fever FM continues at No. 6 in Mumbai.

Radio One is at No. 7 place with a market share of 6.1 per cent. It is followed by AIR FM Rainbow, which has managed a market share of 4.8 per cent. Amongst the other stations in Mumbai, Meow FM has 2.6 per cent; Vividh Bharati has 2.2 per cent and Akashavani has 1.6 per cent market share.

Delhi
In Week 26, Radio Mirchi has a market share of 25.6 per cent. This week AIR FM Gold has climbed up a spot to No. 2 and has a market share of 16.5 per cent.

Fever FM has moved down a spot to No. 3, with a market share of 16 per cent, while Radio City continues at No. 4, with a market share of 9.5 per cent.

At No. 5 is Red FM, with a market share of 8.6 per cent. Next in line is Big FM, with a market share of 7.8 per cent. Radio One continues to be No. 7, with a market share of 6.1 per cent.

At No. 8, Meow FM has a market share of 3.2 per cent. Among the other stations in Delhi are Hit FM with a market share of 2.6 per cent, AIR FM Rainbow has 2.4 per cent, Vividh Bharati has 1.5 per cent and Akashavani has 0.2 per cent.

Kolkata
In Week 26, Radio Mirchi, Big FM and Friends FM continue to occupy first, second and third position, respectively, with a market share of 19.5 per cent, 14.6 per cent and 12.7 per cent, respectively.

Aamar FM is at No. 4 in Kolkata, with a market share of 11.8 per cent. It is followed by Red FM, which has a market share of 8.8 per cent. Fever continues at No. 6 with a market share of 7.5 per cent.

At No. 7, Radio One, has a market share of 6.6 per cent, while is Meow FM is at No. 8 with a market share of 6.5 per cent. It is followed by AIR FM Rainbow, which has a market share of 4.2 per cent.

Among the other stations in Kolkata are AIR FM Gold with a market share of 3.3 per cent market share, Akashavani with 2.4 per cent, Power FM with 1.4 per cent and Vividh Bharati with 0.9 per cent.

Bangalore
In Week 25, Big FM had lost the top spot to Radio Mirchi, which ruled all the four RAM markets in that week. However, in Week 26, Big FM is back at No. 1 in Bangalore, with a market share of 18.2 per cent. Radio Mirchi is at No. 2, with a market share of 17.7 per cent

Fever FM and AIR FM Rainbow continue at No. 3 and No. 4, respectively. While Fever FM has a market share of 13.3 per cent, AIR FM has 12.3 per cent.

Radio City is at No. 5, with a market share of 11.6 per cent. S FM continues at No. 6, with a market share of 8.8 per cent. Radio One is at No. 7. It has a market share of 7.9 per cent.

Amongst other radio stations in Bangalore are Vividh Bharati with 4.9 per cent market share, Radio Indigo with 4 per cent, Akashavani and Gyan Vani with 0.5 per cent each.
