Tata Sky moots regionalised ad model
Source: The Economic Times NEW DELHI: Direct to home (DTH) service company Tata Sky is planning to launch a region-specific advertising model, in order to develop alternative revenue sources. The model will allow brands to focus tele-advertising on consumers in target localities rather than use a one-ad-fits-all option. IPTV arrives in Lucknow, Kanpur, Agra to follow suit

Videocon to launch DTH service in Feb 2009

TDSAT: Sun Direct make deposit of Rs 3 crore to Neo Sports
Source: Televisionpoint.com The Telecom Disputes Settlement And Appellate Tribunal (TDSAT) has directed Sun Direct to make an advance interest free deposit of Rs 3 crore to Neo Sports Broadcast and sign the RIO published by Neo Sports. Once Sun signs the RIO, the sports broadcaster will have to start supply of signals to the DTH service provider within two days as per regulations. According to the TDSAT bench headed by Justice Arun Kumar, this was an interim arrangement and hence Sun Direct had been given relief of the burden of paying the whole amount.
