New Delhi (PTI): Direct-to-home operator Dish TV expects its Rs 1,140 crore right issue to be out shortly as soon as it gets regulatory approval. “We are waiting for Sebi comments. Once we get the approval, we will go ahead with the rights issue,” Dish TV CMD Jawahar Goyal told PTI. The Zee group company had applied to the market regulator in May this year for its rights issue. New Delhi, Jul 24 (PTI) In the ongoing legal tussle between ESPN and TataSky over beaming of channels, TDSAT today allowed the Direct-to-Home operator to beam the sport broadcaster’s channels on a-la-carte basis after discharging it from an undertaking submitted before the Delhi High Court. ESPN and Tatasky have been at loggerheads over unbundling of the former’s three channels Star Sports, ESPN and Star Cricket. Sun TV launches FM station at Pune

MUMBAI: Sun TV Network’s SFM launched in Pune on Tuesday, marking the entry of the last of its FM stations in Maharashtra. Radio Mirchi, Radio City and Radio One are already operational in the city. SFM would play a mix of Hindi and Marathi music. The station plans to create awareness through a press conference, outdoor hoardings, print and television ads. Another way of making its impact felt in Pune, would be gifting gold and silver coins to listeners, who would tune in to SFM and participate in the various contests. Fearing that they may be forced to migrate to MPEG 4 (an advanced compression format technology that enables broadcast of more channels) set top boxes (STBs) from their current MPEG 2 STBs for their new subscribers, the existing DTH operators (on MPEG 2 technology) have approached the ministry of information and broadcasting (I&B) to address their concerns.
